Presentation and poster guidelines

Oral Presentation Guidelines
Please read the following information if you are giving an oral presentation:

  1. Speakers will be given 20 minutes for their presentation, including time for questions.
  2. Please bring your presentation on a flash drive (USB) and be sure to have a backup of your presentation. Presentation format should be PowerPoint 2010. We suggest you also bring a .pdf file of your presentation.
  3. Please check with organizers when you arrive. This will enable us to load presentations on laptops.
  4. Please check in with the session moderator before the beginning of your session.

Poster Guidelines
Please read the following information if you are presenting a poster:

  1. Posters should be in portrait format and maximum size of 90 cm X 120 cm (36’’ X 48’’). We will provide poster boards and push pins for you to mount your poster.
  2. Posters should be set up in the main conference room during the Ice Breaker or in the morning of Sept. 16th.  
  3. Posters will be on display until the evening of Sept 16th and should be taken down before heading to bed.

This year and for the second time in history, the annual meeting of the Poplar and Willow Council of Canada will take place in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region of north western Quebec. Participants will be hosted at the Lake Duparquet Research and Teaching Forest research station link of Université du Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, 15-18th September 2015. Between 20-30 participants are expected, to discuss poplar and willow management in natural forest and reclamation contexts. The objective of this meeting is to create discussion and networking opportunities during a day of conferences and 2 days of field trips. The number of places is limited, so please register early!
